A converted Librarian turned Learning Commons Facilitator's path and her story of being more active and involved in supporting technology in a rural setting. Follow my journey as I share about how I became interested in receiving my Google Essentials Certificate, how I utilize Google Calendars with our technology carts, created self check outs for devices, teach the Online Reference Center to classes and provide technology support to staff and students. I have been developing a Makerspace, involving robots, Makey-Makey, Lego, coding, as well as partnering with the community to run Minecraft camps. I am now further exploring what Learning Commons means for a rural school and how to transition to an effective space that supports creativity, learning, and growth for our students!
